Tabbycat's Characters

My Characters

These characters are of my own invention. Their surnames are subject to change at anytime. I probably have several versions of these dolls in the archives, if you want to know more.

These characters are © me.

This is Isabelle, in her court clothes, even though she's not an official member...yet. This is while she is living with her rich uncle, who pampers her because he feels guilty about killing her father in a tragic accident. She would be shocked to learn that her parents were poor farm people. I love the shawl and pretty much all of the shading on this doll. The folds on the bottom are a bit wrong though...
Isabelle|base

Here is Isabelle with her hair up at the masquerade ball--she's a fish! I like her bracelets--but the folds on the bottom could probably be better. For some reason she reminds me of Shania Twain...
Isabelle|base

I entered Isabelle in a pageant, so I had to draw another doll of her-- I drew her in her dressing-gown. I would like to have it, but it looks kind of expensive... heh. And her hair looks pretty good, in a messy way. Your hair would look like that too--probably worse.
Isabelle|base

One day I just envisioned this character in my head, for no reason at all. She never had much of a role in my storyline, but I don't think I'll ever use her. Her coat doesn't look too great (I forgot to noise it, but it's suede), but I like her boots. And, if you couldn't tell, she's jumping into a pile of snow.
Trixie with coat|base

I found this dress in a 20s fashion book, but I could never get the folds right, even though I drew it several times. This is probably a much older Allana, probably post-graduation.
Allana Griffin|base

A newer version of an older doll. I like this shade of green better. Stripes are a nightmare. ;) Her hair is much cuter as well, but I do miss the hat. That's a coke on the table
Allana Griffin|base

This is Catta in her masquerade clothes--she's a wingéd cat! She doesn't normally have wings, they are part of the costume. She's Allana's schoolfriend.
Catta Dorryi|base

This is Catta in 'normal' clothes. As you can tell-- no wings! Her skirt is a bit too shiny though...
Catta Dorryi|base

Helen is sort of a seer, as well as scorned by her people. (They think she's a witch) But she has quite a few secrets, which are more important than even she knows. She's not really a seer, but some of my characters think that she is because of her odd manner. I like the way her dress turned out, especially the sleeves. She looks nicely plain, but still pretty. Her hair was sort of an accident too, but I like it.
Helen|base

This is my huntress character, the only daughter of Liana and Reynard Vibora. She has her loyal pet cheetah, who doesn't yet have a name. This is a much better re-make; if you are looking for the old one, it is in the archive.
Jennifer Vibora|base

Vesser is the second to youngest son of the Viboras. He's one of seven brothers. He suffers a tragic and early death, the first to be killed among his brothers (who all die within a week of each other). I like how he turned out (I may even draw some of my other male characters). I have redone him, I like his new version quite a lot. His costume is based on Boromir's from LOTR. He is, after all, a prince of shapeshifters.
Vesser Vibora|base

This is a very young Jewel. She's probably about twelve, actually. This was my first doll completely done on Paint Shop Pro. I still like her hair. :)
Jewel|base

This is a much older Jewel--she looks much younger than she should here. This is after she's married and has a son. I like the cloak, and the sleeves, and the glow, and the bottom of the dress, and... Well, the glow covered up the one part of the doll I didn't like. (Although I was worried that it would make it more obvious)
Jewel|base

Ah, Jewel in court clothes. She was long overdue for a remake. I like the little curly bits.
Jewel|base

Lailen was in a very cool dream I had--she's a princess of elves. The elves lived underground and rode in gondolas through these ducts of water. They also had a caste system... (Am I crazy??) In my dream she fell in love with a human named Mark who was a smuggler during a war. I've embellished it quite a lot, so I don't really remember what was in the original dream (except for one gory scene I omitted immediately). That was the coolest dream I have ever had!
Lailen|base

Here's a close up portrait of Lailen. You can see her freckles in this picture. I wish I'd put more detail in her hair, though.
Lailen|base

This is a version of Lailen on the EE exclusive base. I think that this one looks much better.
Lailen|base

This is Vesser's girlfriend, upon hearing of his death. Poor thing. Then she goes and marries his high school rival. (How sweet...) I like her hair, it turned out well. The sleeves are rather cool too...
Leigh|base

Another doll of Leigh. This one isn't too much better than the first one of her, so the other doesn't go to the archives. My best braid yet. Dolls from the back are really hard... :)
Leigh|base

This is Isabelle's mother, Sapphire. My first attempt at drawing hair like this. I'm rather impartial to the sleeves. She's also Jewel's cousin.
Sapphire|base

This was a very early doll--but it looks so much like her! She looks quite nice for five-hundred years old, don't you think. :)
Liana Vibora|base

Another remake on a new base. This one really looks quite like her, but the folds on the gown go up a bit high.
Liana Vibora|base

Liana and her husband. This is a bit more modern than it would actually be in my timeline, but it has the vibe that I was looking for. Not sure about what I think about them, though...
Liana & Reynard Vibora|base

Here are some sprites of Jewel, Catta, Liana Vibora, and Isabelle, respectively.
Sprites|base

This is Isabelle's uncle, Lance. (The name stuck; I'd change it if I could. ;) )He's probably quite young here, but for the main part of my story he's much older. I just made up a uniform when I entered him in a contest at Ice Shadow Dolls. This uniform is based on French and Prussian uniforms from the Napoleonic Era.
Lance|base

I thought that I ought to do a couple doll of these two lovebirds... so here it is. Something funny about her hair. And his collar is WAY messed up.
Lance & Jewel|base

I'm quite proud of this piano. ;) You can find it in the props section if you'd like to use it. Anyway, this is the first doll from my latest storyline. Nigel is the piano's name. Strange, I know. Nigel follows Nicola like a shadow. I'm terrible at sneakers.
Nicola & Nigel|base

Nicola's adopted sister. Instead of being followed around by a piano, however, she just thinks about food constantly. I like how the ponytail turned out.
Ashley|base

The caretaker of the above two. :) She wears fashions from 1850 in modern times, but that's okay. She's also a time-space traveler. Fun, no?
Mrs Artsy|base

Mrs. Artsy's arch-nemisis. She is something of a trickster character. I tried a new technique with her hair; I think I like it. I've lost the base URL, if anyone has it, please tell me!
Saerie|base

Another member of the Artsy gang. This is Janet, who is to be the narrator in the story I'm working on at the moment. I love her sweater and especially her hair. Not so happy about the skirt, but it's okay.
Janet|base

A remake of my first doll, which was of a character I don't use anymore (but I guess it still goes here...) She's okay, the folds look kind of funny because I got mad at them and swooped down upon them with the dreaded Giant Smudge Brush of DOOM! (I should be more careful about using it)
Jill|base

One of my new and rather persistant characters... he's pretty cool. Not only does he have magical powers, but he's also a spy. *gary-stu-ness* I do love the male clothes, especially the waistcoat! =D And I <3 tricorns! They should really come back into fashion.
Mr. Madrigal|base

Mr. Madrigal's maidservant, Elaine. I really like how she turned out, especially in the face.
Elaine|base

Another character from the same story... she's EVIL. XD Anyway, this was also my entry for Miss Doll Fantasy. I'm not too fond of the shading on her skirt.
Celia|base

Madrigal's love interest and future wife, Marie. This is the first time, I think, that I have been as proud of the skirt on a doll with a big dress as much as I was with the top. I really like how she turned out, though not at all like I had imagined.
